As part of the ORBIT II research project, an annual workshop is organized on current topics related to biological methanation. The second workshop “Advances in biological methanation: Microbes as game changers for a sustainable future” addresses the biological facets of methanation.

Against the backdrop of the current energy and climate crisis, we want to present background information on biological methanation and potential solutions for the production of green methane with selected experts in a workshop on the 5th and 6th of October 2023. In addition to technical presentations, various workshops and poster presentations will shed light on far-reaching biological aspects in what is otherwise a very technical and applied field of research.
